An evening aria

What a find! David Stark designed a glamorous evening (pictured below) to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Metropolitan Opera as well as the veteran tenor Placido Domingo’s 40th year of performing with the company.

Favorite details? The color scheme for sure. I also really love how the table numbers are incorporated seamlessly into the design; and I'm a HUGE fan of the program-wrapped candles. Old newspapers would have looked cool too.

So many things to look at! I would never be able to hold a long conversation in this room. I would have to go and look at everything first.

I bet it was a great "cocktail" hour.

This just looks like a room to mingle in!

It is really busy, you're right. But the color is so warm that I totally forgive it!
